Hyechan Cho says, “I recently saw a family I met a month ago [when they were first arriving in the country] at the airport. Today they were smiling. It made my day.” Hyechan’s favorite part of working at MCC Refugee Services is seeing clients go from anxious when newly arrived to happy and thriving.
As an employment intern, Hyechan works directly with clients at different points on their journey from arrival to resettlement and aids them on a path to sustainability. This is his first experience with nonprofits and he has learned a lot about refugees and the setbacks they face. MCC appreciates Hyechan for his dedicated work on behalf of refugees, and all of our interns for the passion and resources they give to supporting families and relationships.
