What do you get when you bring together 25 refugee participants, 16 public defenders, 16 outside speakers, 12 community connector volunteers, 6 interpreters, and 1 property management company?

An approachable way for people of all faiths and walks of life to practice the art of community and to support and get to know our newest neighbors.  Congratulations to our newest group of 25 refugee participants to graduate  the seven-week Tapestry Program coordinated by the Minnesota Council of Churches Mankato Area Refugee Services program. MCCMARS brings together public officials, civic leaders, and faith communities to extend a helping hand to refugee families and to create bonds of friendship with their newest neighbors. Walls of misunderstanding come down as we practice the art of community together. Learn how you can get involved.
